System limit for number of file watchers reached

If you’re seeing the error “ System limit for number of file watchers reached ” on your Android phone, it means that the system has reached its limit for the number of files being watched. This can happen when using packages like Jest , React.js , Angular , or Webpack that tend to watch a lot of files. To fix the error, you’ll need to increase the limit of inotify watchers on your Android phone. One solution is to use the command “ fs.inotify.max_user_watches=524288 ” to increase the number of inotify watchers on your system. However, these changes won’t be persisted after a reboot unless you write the new number of watchers to a file. You can do this by running the following command: echo fs.inotify.max_user_watches=524288 | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf && sudo sysctl -p Alternatively, you can try increasing the number of inotify watchers by modifying the “ sysctl.conf ” file directly.
